Piggy Feelings

Question
How do you tell if your guniea pig is lonely?

Answer
Hi Brooke

Typically a lonely piggy will be much more withdrawn and perhaps sitting in a corner looking sorry for himself/herself.

I think if you have a not lonely pig next to a lonely one you can clearly see the difference.

Generally speaking guinea pigs much prefer to be with other guinea pigs. In their natural habitat, piggies live in large groups so are used to company. However, if you can spend lots of time with your pet yourself a human companion usually does a good job too.

I hope that helps, but feel free to write back if I can help any more.
