i have a guinea pig that is just over a year old. recently she hasnt been drinking or eating much, and she doesnt squeak like she used to. she doesnt run around as much and she has lost weight. what could this be and how can i fix it?

has she lost fur? if so then she could have mange. she could have an internal parasite as well. take her to the vet to get properly analyzed and treated.
No, she hasnt lost any fur, i have also noticed a kindof crusty stuff on the outside of her eyes...Blair said she could possibly have pneumonia...Do you happen to know any of the symptoms of pneumonia?

Respiratory infections are caused by a number of bacteria and virus. symptoms of pneumonia may include difficult breathing, eye or nose discharge, sluggishness, and loss of appetite. in some cases, sudden death will occur without any of these signs. sometimes, ear infections accompany respiratory diseases. additional symptoms in these cases would include lack of coordination, tilted head, circling to one side, or rolling. call your veterinarian when a guinea pig has any of these symptoms.
