Guinea Pig Interaction

Question
Iv had my guinea pig for about a year now, and recently I found out that I'm going to be pet sitting a friends roughly 6 month old guinea. Well I put them together for a few minutes to see what they would do, and the younger one would run under the older ones stomache, who would back away. They would chat a bit and seemed like they were chasing eachother (both are females by the way). But after a few minutes the older one would start clicking her teeth at the younger one, Im guessing she got annoyed.
Was the overall interaction positive? Is that getting along?

Answer
Hi Lindsay

I would say that it would not be positive
The chattering of the teeth is a sign of anger and power
The older one wants to claim dominance over the younger one
This could mean fights between the two
I would suggest
When you put them together to have lots of play toys to keep the ocupied and when they do fight immediatly break it up because it could lead to seroius injury

After a few days they will stop the fighting and become freinds

All the best
Mitch
