accelerated breathing

Hi Alisa,I have a quick question to ask you.I have a guinea pig that is breathing very fast.Why is she doing this??She is eating and moving around just fine.I am really worried.Do you know how we can cure it or help her breathe normal??I would appreciate it if you could write me back and tell me what you think i should do.

This sounds like it could possibly be an upper resporitory problem. It is common in guinea pigs. It is accompanied by many symptoms including eye or nose discharge. If this is what it is then a vet visit is needed due to the results of this problem being fatal. Let me know what happens, thanks!
