hutch insulation?

Question
I have two adorable guinea pigs. As I live in the UK and the winters here can be pretty cold, i need advice on how to keep them warm. I have seen a product called a hutch snuggle (by scratch and newton)although they are expensive and don't seem to be adjustable to fit my hutch. Are they worth the money? In other words, will they keep them warm enough for the winter or will I still have to bring them inside? I hope you can help me as I hear conflicting stories all the time as to whether guinea pigs can survive the winter. Thanks!

Answer
Hi Amy

I too am in the UK and I know about the product you mention. i have one of their bottle holder things which is good.

My opinion is to bring the pigs inside during the night and let them be outside during the day unless it is mega cold. The temperature is colder during the night so this is always what I do.

Personally I wouldnt rely on the insulator during a winter night.
