Baby guinea pigs and water bottles

I bought a baby guinea pig. His about five weeks old. He doesn't seem to know how to use the water bottle. I asked the last owner if they used a water bottle and he said yes. So i don't know if he is just scared and doesn't want to use it or just doesn't know how. Any thing that you can help with?

chances are he is drinking, just not when you are looking, if you are really worried then just place a small dish of water in with him, ideally something like an ash tray that is heavy and he cant knock over. guinea pigs learn their behavious from their parents, if the mother used a bottle then he knows how to drink from a bottle.
