Bite

Question
I was holding my hamster and I held her the night before, but in the morning I decided to hold her again and I was holding her for a while then she started to rub her hands over her nose and she bent down and bit my finger it didnt draw blood but she has never bit me before .... why did she do this!?

Hi,

If you haven't washed your hands before handling she could have smelt food on your hand and decided to bite thinking it was food. Something around you could have possibly frightened her and caused her to bite also.
