Question
my female hampster just had babies 1 month and 6days ago. i noticed 4 are female and one is male
1. can i put my babies male hamster in the fathers cage?
2. when should they be separated so the females do not get pregnant

Answer
Hamsters are generally solitare animals and don't tolerate another hamster in the cage for too long. At 4 weeks you should seperate the males from the female. You can put the baby hamster in with the father, but I don't recommend it since the father may attack the baby. Just watch closely to make sure there's no fighting going on.
