eyes

my hamster was attacked by my dog, it survived, but it's eye is really red .we're not sure if it's infected or not, our mom won't let us take her to a vet,it's a dwarf hamster (Siberian)what should we do?we don't know wether or not she'll survive the night...her brother & sisters were killed,only she survived. please answer soon.

Her eye is red probably due to an eye injury. you could try using visine eye drops to try to flush the eye out. There's not really much else you can do. Is she breathing normally and seem okay otherwise??? If she seems okay otherwise and is able to eat and drink a little bit she may be just fine but she may have a red eye for a while.
