any help much appreciated thanx

Answer
Hi Chris,

I don't believe your hamsters leg is broken, as it is trying to walk on it and is climbing the cage. However, it has probably strained it. There really isn't anything that can be done for this. Your hamster will just need time to heal. This could take anywhere from 3-4 weeks, but should recover.
If your hamster starts to show signs of getting worse, like not eating, drinking or having a hard time moving or the leg starts to swell and get red, then I would suggest taking it to the vet.
