Weaned Beagle moms appearance

Hi there, we just brought home a 5 year old rescued beagle that was used by a puppy mill, when rescued she was pregnant and had 7 pups who are now 8 weeks old.  I have not had a beagle before nor a pregnant dog so I'm not sure what is normal when it comes to her tummy.  Her nipples are very saggy and it appears to be uncomfortable for her to walk- not pain wise, just for her to maneuver things like stairs.  They are literally about an inch from the ground.  Will her body return to a somewhat normal appearance?

At 5 years old do you know how many litters she had?  If she was bred every season she may never get her figure back.

Star with light exercise and work your way up to "hard" (flyball, running, etc.) that is the best thing for tightening her back up.
