re: temp drop before labor

Im the one that said i would keep you posted on my almost 3 yr old lab that had the copperhead bite, well she is in labor and trying to push already but her temp is still 100.1 to 99.5 matter of fact the most recent temp was at 1:15 am 09/10/07.  is this possible?...i know u had said its not an exact science but just want to make sure this is normal. Please help!!

I apologize for not responding sooner to your question -- I had a family emergency & had to go out of state unexpectedly & only just returned. I assume everything has already occurred but to answer your question, it's perfectly for the temp to rise again just before labor, assuming it dropped to begin with at all. I hope everything turned out OK & please let me know the results.
