Question
I have taken my boxer to the vet for a x-ray and was told that she having one puppie I have never heard of a dog of this size only having 1 puppie and should I be concerned about the size of this one puppie

Answer
Actually, it does happen, and usually with the first litter (that I've noticed anyway). My very first litter consisted on one very healthy, and large puppy. I would be concerned about the size of this puppy. Just make sure mom doesn't get too fat, and gets plenty of exercise. When she starts whelping, keep an eye out for any problems, too long of labor, pushing for too long of a time, or pushing for awhile and then stopping. Contact your vet when she starts, that way he'll be prepared if something goes wrong. P.S. My girl whelped the one puppy just fine. I kept her in good shape, and made her get plenty of exercise. However, it was a pretty good sized pup.
