Question
1. why is gait so important for a dog breed. like in a standard they say the dogs gait should be smooth and steady. why is that so important

2.where do breeds get the stud dogs from?

3.did i ask you why breeders charge so much for there breed

thats all i have for now

Answer
1. Because a correct gait usually means that the dog is built correctly, or close to it. A hackney gait is normal in a few breeds. But, say in a Boxer, it's incorrect. If a Boxer had that gait then it's shoulders wouldn't be built right.

2. Do you mean where do breeders get their stud dogs from?

3. Yes. I answered "because to help with some of the money loss, you'll never get it all back. And because if someone is willing to pay that much money for a puppy, then most likely, they'll take really good care of it. Doesn't mean that everyone who pays that much money for a dog will take care of it, but it helps weed out the BYB and puppy millers." Or, atleast I think I answered something like that. :-)
