what is the best whelping area for my pitbull dog who is giving birth soon....

HI Neil. The best place for her to whelp is in a dry, draft free room that is close to you so you can keep an eye on mom and pups. Make sure it has a door, and don't let a lot of people in to see the pups. The best whelping box would be made of wood. Measure her from chest to rump, add two feet. This is how long the box will be. Then, measure her from withers to feet, add two feet. This is how wide it should be. I usually make my boxes about 2 1/2 feet tell. Good luck!
