Question
Hello, i just gotten a yorkie puppy. He was doing good with the wee wee pad s but now he is starting to go on the carpet.

what do i do.

Answer
If you ever want him to potty outside, you should start doing that now. Dogs get too confused between being allowed to potty inside one day, and not the next.

If you want him to just go inside, it is pretty much the same as housebreaking. Keep him confined if you cannot watch him, and put him on the pads when you think he might need to potty.... first thing in the morning, after he eats, wakes, plays. Praise the heck out of him when he potties in the spot you have chosen. The younger the puppy, the more often he will have to eliminate.

Clean the spots on the carpet thoroughly with some sort of enzyme cleaner to eliminate all odor so that the puppy does not return to that spot. And do not let him run all over the house... keep his free space down to one room initially, and gradually expand from there as he gets older and his potty habits improve.
