Question
QUESTION: Q1.I give my dog homemade boiled chicken, is this bad for my Chihuahua dog?

Q2. Is Pedigree dog food bad for my dog?

ANSWER: 1.  Boiled chicken is not bad for your dog, just make sure there are no bones and that you don't flavor the chicken with garlic or onion (onions are very bad for dogs and garlic can be in large quantities).

2.  There are better foods out there than Pedigree.  They are more expensive, but you feed less, so you need to figure the cost per serving and not the cost per bag.  I've heard that Petsmart Authority is a decent lower end food if you're worried about cost.  Kind of a happy medium between cost and quality.

QUESTION: What type of wet food do you recommend? instead of Pedigree?

Answer
Petsmart brand, Authority, I have heard is a good compromise between cost and quality.  I personally feed CA Natural lamb and rice.  It's almost a $1/lb, but I only feed my 90lb lab about 2 3/4 cup a day.  If I were feeding a cheaper food and following instructions on  the bag, I'd probably be feeding him 4-5 cups a day.
