great dane breeding

I MATED MY GREAT DANE BITCH 2 WEEKS AGO AND SHE NOW HAS A CREAMY DISCHARGE WHICH STARTED A FEW DAYS AFTER MATING, IT SEEMS TO BE GETTING SLIGHTLY WORSE IF ANYTHING, IS THIS RIGHT?

Dear Amanda,

Thank you for writing to me.  Please bring your dog to the vet immediately.  This could be a sign of something quite serious...like a uterine infection which can move into the bloodstream and kill your dog.

Additionally, are you aware that for every heat a dog goes through the chances for cancer are dramatically increased?  For every puppy born there is one less home for a dog on death row.  Please reconsider breeding while dogs are dying for lack of homes.
