knees in poodles

Can you tell me if you can check a 6week old poodle puppy and tell if it has or is going to have bad knees?

thank you for your input  there was no signs what soever the puppy is very active plays jumps around etc. So i took her to a different vet and she was checked and i was told this puppy was a very healthy pup with no problems what so ever .I had sold the puppy but the lady that bought her went by what the first vet told her .So what would be your thought on this ? thank you

I still recommend that the puppy be x-rayed. This will alert you to any possible problems. If she checks out fine, I would not worry too much about it.

Dogs, especially small dogs, may develop hip or elbow dysplasia due to advanced age. This cannot be detected when they are puppies, and is strictly due to the aging process.
