QuestionWe have a 2 y/o English Setter. He goes hunting, his favorite thing in the world, on the weekends with my husband. He seems to have decided that I'm the reason he can't hunt every day. On the weekends he will growl at me warning me not to interfere with with him going hunting. On week days we have to tell him "it's a working day" to calm him down. This morning when I got out of bed, he was on point towards me and his hackles were up. We immediately told him to stop and he calmed down. I'm afraid he will bite me soon. What should we do?
AnswerWith all due respect I think he is being aggressive towards you period, and it has nothing to do with interfering in his hunting schedule.
I am afraid he will bite you too!
