please how to stop the howling will in create

I have a 9 week border collie puppy, what can I do to stop the whining and howling when she is put in her create at night (she is really loud) and during the day while I am at work. she is only put in there if we can't keep a constant eye on her when we are home.

YOu can not get the dog to stop doing this..is it a crate that she can see out of?it should not be except for the front. If it is an open crate try putting a towel over the top, When you are home you need to ignore her when she does this. It is like having a child and if you give them attention they will continue to do it...she is fine..remember that.
