Heartworms?

I have a 9 year old yellow lab and I have recently seen him almost fainting. He seems to lose the fuction of his legs and then falls over, he then seems to proceed with what looks to me like a seizure. He also coughs alot and has trouble breathing sometimes. Could it be heartworms or is he just old?

Coughing is a sign of heartworms, but it is also a sign of heart problems in general.  He needs to see a Vet. 9 is not that old, and these seizures may be causing major heart damage.  Your Vet can put him on a heart med, if that's what the problem is, that will stop the seizures and prolong his life. I hope you take him asap.
