bathing my yorkie

I give my Yorkie a bath once a week or over a week. Is that too often. I want my dog to be clean, but I don't want to make his skin irritated. Sometimes he scrathes and I know its not fleas.  don't know if that is normal for dogs or if his skin is irritated or something else?

Hello the shampoos dry out teh dogs skin the bath strips the coat of natural oils so the dog gets dander and is very itchy. I recomend a bath Once per month. all dogs scratch but when they are scratching constantly it is either dry skin/fleas/bug bites or allergies.
