Question
I have a 5 month old female yorkie, named Mia. I am a teacher and have been home all summer working on potty training and loving my new puppy. Mia happily goes into her crate at night around 10:00 and will only sleep for 4 hours until she needs to potty. I take her out to potty and she goes and goes and goes. Now at 2 or 3 A.M she is awake and won't go back to sleep in her crate. She weighs 5 1/2 pounds, and my question is when will she sleep longer? Can I expect her to go back to sleep in her crate after going potty in the middle of the night? I'm exhausted! Wendy

Answer
I think if you get her in the routine of going back in her crate at night, she will get used to it-I think if you keep on putting her back in the crate and ignoring her is the best way to go,and do this every night and it will no longer be an issue with her
