help/new puppy!!!

we have a 5 yr old shitzu (10lbs)who is very loving and friendly.  she usually is very excited to meet and play w/ other dogs.  we just bought a brittany spaniel, she is 9wks old, very sweet and loving.  alothough our shitzu is getting tons of attention she is very upset w/ the new puppy.  she snubbs it which i think will just take time, but this morn starting vomiting on the floor and having breathing problems and being shakey.  will the stress from this new dog hurt the shitzu or will she adjust?  please help!!

Usually, when a dog is under stress, you might see changes in it's behavior, such as a change in housebreaking habits, fear, anxiety, shedding, trembling or restlessness.

Your dog's vomiting and breathing problems do not sound like stress to me, though being shaky or trembling can be a sign of stress.
However, being shaky AND vomiting can be a sign of pain.

It sounds like your dog needs to see the vet. The fact you've recently brought home a new puppy may just be a coincidence.
