Hematoma

Hi! My 1 years old female Weimaraner has a bump on her head.She bomps her head under the table,car,anything all the time.She has a big bump on the center of her head,a hematoma.It is not going away,I worry about her.Do you think she has constant pain? Does she need a surgery? Thank you!

I doubt if she's in much pain, and I also doubt she needs surgery.  But anytime there is an injury, sore, bruise, etc. (for people or pets), that doesn't go away, I would have the vet look at it.  You may want to be creative and try to restrict her access to those areas where she CAN hit her head; this will give the hematoma a chance to heal and may also teach her not to go under those areas.
