Lump on dogs throat/neck

Question
I have a minature schnauzer.  She is 4 years old.  I am terrified.  I just noticed a place on her neck that looked bloody like she'd be scratching or biting at it.  When I feel it, it feels like a lump under the skin.  It's not hard, but soft feeling.  I can't take her to a vet until tomorrow.  Do you have any idea what it could be?  It hasn't been there long.

I wouldn't worry too much....It sounds like a cyst or a raised hot spot....Since it is bothering her, it could even be an abscess.....Do check with your vet....usually any kind of cancer is not open like that.
