Giant breed feeding

Question
Hello. I have a 11 week old male Newfoundland puppy. My question is
what dry food would you recommend feeding him? I am interested in
Acana Pacifica which is 33% protein but is an all life stages all breed
formula. I have been doing my research and from what I gather my main
concern should be the levels of calcium and phosphorous more so than
the level of protein. Any help would be awesome.

Answer
I checked into the levels of Ca:P in the Acana and they are perfectly ok for a large or giant breed. You are correct that the mineral content is extremely important! Acana makes GREAt foods, high but not excessive protein, nice ingredients, well formulated. I would think this or the Grasslands (or alternated) would be a  great choice for your pup.

For much more information on an ongoing basis, please consider joining my yahoogroup at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ThePossibleCanine-Nutrition Our many knowledgable members and staff can help you all the way as your pup grows. But I'm very comfortable with you using Acana for your baby. It's an excellent choice on all levels.

Make sure not to overfeed and you will be fine.

Have fun! They grow up so quickly.
