i have a 7 week old lab/St. Bernard puppy named buddy, one of the ladies that has his brother heard that you had to feed this type of breed fresh meat every certain about of weeks or months. is this true??

No that's not true at all. Any breed of dog can be fed a good quality premium food with no bha, bht, corn , soy, wheat or by products and live a good healthy life. Supplements are great as well, and of course cooking for your dog is much healthier providing you get the mix right and provide the correct amount of protein, minerals and fat. BARF diet, or a raw diet is excellent if done correctly and is also good just added to a good quality dry kibble. I'd love to know the reasoning behind thinking that this particular hybrid had to have raw meat.
