Hi marie ,It seems their may be some uncertainty weather riley ate the entire knot on each end of the rawhide bone my husband said after I was worring all night that he had thrown some pieces of the bone awaybecause they were to smallbut he was spacific,he wasnt sure what part of the bone it was, this is starting to sound realy funny,so Ill just say there doesent seem to be a problem so far but Im watching for any sighns of trouble,So all rawhide went in the garbage and I got him a bone called (dental chew)but when I read the back it said provide plenty of water, why? maybe because its bacon flavor. Also it says this product is intended for intermittent or supplemental feeding only.what!!! am I so out of touchI cant figure what a simple dog bone is .Is there such a thing anymore.also whats the best heartworm meds to give him and how do I give it. The same for flea and tick meds do I have to buy them from the vet or can I get them at a pet store,Is the expense any different.I'll wait to give him this dental chew bone to see what you think,if its edable or do I have to wath for pieces with  this too.maybe ill let him chew on my foot he seems to like that, ill be sure to know when hes close to getting a piece off, you have to be so careful.thanks again,  Linda

Answer
Linda - I answered this questions in another note that had referrals for your cat's needs.
The only thing I did not address was the bone/treat situation.

Please be very careful of any bones that break off in pieces.  It is better to find some that are edible and disintegrate.  The Greenies company had to change to product because they broke off and choked a number of doggies.

I like the brands...Nylabones and Kongs  - very safe

See ya,
