Question
I have a mix we rescued from humane society when he was 5 weeks old. We have discovered he is allergic to corn, fish, blueberries, grass, dust, and allot more. What food do you recommend that has no corn or fish products and that is good for him?
Thanks so much

Answer
Corn is a very common ingredient.  You may be pushed into the more expensive brands to avoid it.  Off hand, I can't say for sure what brands will work.  They all have the ingredients listed on the bag.  Check Kirkland from Costco or Diamond at some of the farm supply stores if you have them.  Most pet stores carry a variety of brands.

Ignore any ratings you see.  All the ones I have seen are based on how good the ingredients sound to the rater, not on how good they are for dogs.  As long as you avoid ingredients the dog is allergic to, it should do fine on almost any food.  Many foods with a very successful record are given low ratings based on their ingredients.  That tells me the rating systems lack credibility.
