dog foods, nuvet wafers, activia yogurt

We adopted a 14 mo old terrier/shitsu mix. I have read and been told that dry food is the best dogs because it helps keep their teeth clean.  I feed her a good quality dry food and mix in a teaspoon of good quality canned food and she seems to like it. I give her chew bones to help with her teeth.   What is your opinion on this.  Thanks.

Well, Sandy, They have now proven that Dry food is not better than Wet food for dogs and cats.  YES, dry may help clean the teeth a little more...  A good safe chew bone will also help to clean the teeth.  IF all is working for  you and your little one, then why change it???
Also, I do like to see my clients take 1 NuVET wafer per day - helps to clean the teeth and balance out the digestion.  Wonderful immune system booster for dogs and cats.
Also, a good probiotic  is a plus, too.

You can give your baby some ACTIVIA yogurt with the active cultures - give just 1/4 a cup 3-4x per week.
