Overweight Lab

I have a 9 year old black lab that has been neutered and need to know what the ideal average weight should be.  Also, how much should I be feeding him?

While I could give you an average, it wouldn't help you determine what your dog should weight.  Your dog definitely should be narrower at the waist than the hips and chest. You should be able to easily feel the ribs, but not see them. Each dog is different. Standard recommendations are a good place to start, but each dog must have its food and exercise adjusted to its individual needs.
