Dog food for a lab/great dane puppy.

Question
I have a puppy that is a Lab/3/4 Great Dane. And was told that it will not get bigger then the lab size.
I like to know what dog food that I can feed him. I heard for Great Danes need premium food for their growth. Would I need to feed him that kind of food, since he is not going be full size Dane? Can you tell me what kind of food would be a good brand with out costing an arm and a leg? And is any commercial dog food good to feed him?
Thank You,
Amber

Answer
Hello Amber - if your dog is very healthy you can go right to an adult dog food.  Sometimes PUPPY foods make DANE's legs ( bones ) grow too fast.  Now, the ones I sure do like are Innova, Wellness and Merrick or even Solid Gold Brands.
They are above average in  cost and can be found at most pet stores.
YOU feed LESS of this quality brands because they have very little fillers...and NO junk.

Take the NEW food and mix it with the Old food x 3 weeks / After that, go to 100% the New food.

Also, Most of my clients take ONE NuVET Plus Supplement per day - helps the body grow and protects the immune system...
1-2 Wafers per day / Depends on the size of the dog.
