Dog ate small lead ball

Question
Our son made a small lead ball at a boy scout activity.  About the size of a jelly bean.  The dog jumped up where he was showing and swallowed the ball.  Will it pass? Do we need to do anything to help it pass faster? Will it poison our dog?

I am sorry for the late reply; I have been basically offline for a few days with computer problems. I realize this is a late answer for you and I hope you posted it in Veterinary as well, since it is both serious and not a nutrition question. I would take that dog to the vet asap. The ball my or may not pass. In either case, it's a serious poison and I would take no chances. I hope you were able to deal with this, and again, my apologies for the delayed reply.
