Question
I have a 20 month old pug Roxie that gains weight very very easily and is not very
active.  Roxie has been eating primal venison raw for 8 months and now has switched to
Wellness Core grain free reduced fat formula.  Can you suggest your favorite  grain free
formulas that  should be alternated keeping her weight issues in mind.

Please suggest any other favorites foods and supplements for Roxie.

Answer
Hi Steve and Roxie the pug!!!
Yes, the Wellness Core is a wonderful food - keep using that food and add some green beans to her diet.
JUST 1/2 a cup of canned green beans per day will do the trick.
Make sure they are no added salt or rinsed them.
Green beans are empty calories and it will help to fill her up.
YOU can give her less than what the BACK of the Wellness bag tell you for her weight and size.
Feed her a little less Wellness and add the green beans 1/4 cup in the am and 1/4 cup in the pm.
If you want you can give just a dash of garlic powder - again just a dash and mix with a 1/4 a teaspoon of olive oil. ( just a little dot of oil .... ( the olive oil is good for her coat, legs and joints....)

Also, one NuVET Plus Wafer supplement per day will give her more energy to burn off some calories.  Also, the NuVET helps with digestion, too.
