Puppies wont eat puppy food but loves moms food

We have 2 Weimaraner puppies that we kept from a litter. They ate milked down Nutro Large Breed Puppy food during the weaning process and worked their way to completely dry Nutro Large Breed puppy food without a problem by 7 weeks. They are now 10 weeks old and don't want anything to do with the puppy food. We have both parents who eat Nutro large breed L&R and the puppies have no problem putting down a bowl of the same. We have tried separate feeding, keeping puppy food in their crate at night, etc. but they won't even take a single kibble. They were starting to get rather thin until they started stealing mom's food during her feeding time. My question, What could be the ramifications of them eating the adult food? They have both bulked back up and will only eat their fill and leave the rest. Should we experiment with different types of puppy or can we just feed the adult food with some kind of suplements puppies may need?

I would worry a little bit about the low protein of the large breed adult for puppies this age. However, I don't care for nutro to begin with so I'm a bit prejudiced. Dog foods with no byproducts, corn, wheat or soy., bha or bht are by far the best to feed your dogs.
It's going to difficult to get your puppies to eat a different food from parents because they tend to follow their leaders by example if you know what I mean. I would channge dog foods completely simply due to the reasons I already stated. I hate paying money for fillers that are pooped out to be cleaned up and poor protein sources.
