Dogs & almonds

Question
My 16# Pom is 99 perfect but feeding him is very difficult.  I have a habit of eating natural almonds when I'm online & have just found out that Shadow likes them.  But it doesn't sound as if they are good for him.  Please advise & thank you.

Personally I would avoid almonds, even though your little guy likes them.Mine likes pizza, but that doesn't mean he gets any. <g>  What else have you tried? If he doesn't like his food, can you consider  switching brands? For treats you might consider small bits of fish, meat or turkey, a very little liver, bites of egg or cheese, but go easy on the fat as Poms are prone to pancreatitis and you need to be careful. What about home made cookies with natural ingredients?  I'd avoid nuts altogether, there are safer and more nutritious treats for dogs.
