Hi there I have a blue great dane hes almost five months old. Hes been having a problem with diharrea and i was wondering if it would be better the feed him real food like chicken and rice but not sure what all the foods he should be eating and what foods he shouldnt be eating or if there is somwhere i can look up on cooking my own food for him thank you for your time

FIRST OF ALL, YOUR GD IS NOT DIGESTING OR ABSORBING HIS FOOD PROPERLY. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE CURRENTLY FEEDING BUT PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE CONTACT THIS WOMAN WHOM i CREDIT WITH SAVING TWO OF MY PUPS DIGESTIVE LIVES--SHE IS AMAZING, HELPFUL, FREE AND ADORES HER DOGS. HER OWN TWO DOGS LIVED TO TO 19 BECAUSE OF HER DIGESTIVE CARE OF THESE PUPS.HER EMAIL IS BELOW.

MY ANSWER TO YOU IS YES, YES, YES YOU PUP, AT LEAST AT THIS TIME SHOULD BE ON REAL FOOD (YOUR WORDS AND ONES I USE CONSTANTLY) AND NOTHING COMMERCIAL AT THE MOMENT. YOUR PUPS DIGESTIVE SYSTEM IS VERY FRAGILE AT THIS AGE AND TO IRRITATE IT FURTHER IS ASKING FOR PROBLEMS CONSISTENTLY. OK, HAVING SAID THAT, I WANT YOU TO TRY PUTTING YOUR PUP ON ORGANIC CHICKEN AND ORGANIC SQUASH (WATCH THE AMTS OF THE VEGGIE). THE SQUASH MUST BE STEAMED OR MUSHED AND THE CHICKEN LIGHTLY STEAMED UNLESS YOU WANT TO GO RAW. RAW IS BEST BUT I COULD NEVER BRING MYSELF TO DO THIS WITH MY PUPS..YOU MAY FEEL DIFFERENTLY.

DR PITCAIRN HAS SEVERAL BOOKS ON THE MARKET WITH SOME WONDERFUL DIETS IN THEM. I DO NOT FEED MY DOGS COMMERCIAL FOODS FOR THE MOST PART. THEY ARE LOADED WITH SYNTHETICS AND THERE ARE JUST TOO MANY INGREDIENTS IN THEM FOR A PUPPY TO BE ABLE TO HANDLE SOMETIMES. ALL DOGS ARE DIFFERENT. I WANT YOU TO PUT YOUR PUP ON A REAL FOOD, REAL FOOD!!! digestive enzyme WHICH YOU CANNOT FIND IN THE STORES EXCEPT MAYBE FOR ONE OF UDO'S PRODUCTS. BUT HAVING SAID THAT, PLEASE CONTACT:
