Finding good food for my shih tzu

I have a 3 year old Shih Tzu, she like most has skin issues, I am all the time trying to find a good food for her, not only to help with this problem but one that is nutrionally good for her as well.  Everything you read tells you not to feed this, not to feed that.  Could you please recommend a good dog food, both dry and wet?  Looking for something easy to find because where I live there are not many pet stores available.  Thanks for your help.

It's very difficult to recommend a food for a condition without knowing what is behind it. Many things can cause poor coat, and I  like to rule out things like thyroid disease before attempting to address nutritional issues. So, two questions for you: one, has she had a full veterinary exam including a full panel thyroid (this is important, because a simple in-house thyroid test may not uncover certain problems) and two, what are you feeding now?
