Question
Hello, 4 month old chi eats dry royal canine puppy kibble Seemed to have the smallest kibble (left out at all times) and 3T canned science diet puppy (2X a day).
#1 - Am I feeding her right? I would like THE BEST quality food for her. (Breeder had her on eukanuba dry puppy and pedigree canned)
#2 - When do i switch her to all dry and what is the best brand for chi's?

Answer
Good afternoon, Karen.

You can switch your Chi to an all dry diet whenever you'd like, however, offering a good quality canned food is always good for them.

Some brands that you may want to consider:  Eagle Pack Holistic, Innova, Nature's Variety and Orijen.  Most of the brands listed, with the exception of Orijen, do also have very nice lines of canned food and most dogs do very well on them.  We do have several Chi's that do well on the above  mentioned brands.

It isn't necessary to leave dry food out at all times.  While it does work well for some dogs, having an established feeding time is typically better for dogs.  I would keep her on two meals a day.

Let me know if I can be of any further help.
