Cocker Spaniel - Stomach and Leg Trouble

18 17:15:53

Question
My friend's 4.5 year old, 20-25 lbs. cocker spaniel (Lady)just starting to cry terribly when you just touch her stomach. An X=ray shows she had not digested her food since the morning. The vet gave her a laxative and Lady pottied fine, so there seems to be no blockage. The vet did not see anything in the x=ray to indicate a problem. But this morning Lady was still crying when and way after her stomach was just 'touched' not even rubbed. Also she is limping. My friend will get an X-ray on that. The vet thought the leg problem was a separate issue. Is there a possibility of this being lyme's disease with the leg?  Thank you for your time.

Answer
cocker spaniel vet; cocker spaniel blood work;
cocker spaniel pancreatitis;  cocker spaniel health;

Poor little Echo!  I would have the vet run some blood work on her.  Just to see if there is infection.  The Stomach x-ray won't show too much so blood work is needed.  I am wondering if she has a problem with the Pancreas?  It's very common for pets to have bouts of Pancreatitis.  As far as the lyme's, there is a blood test to rule that out, too.

Ask the Vet if you friend can give (1) 81 Mg baby aspirin to little Echo for the discomfort in the leg.

Pleae let me know what the blood work tells you?

Sorry, wish that I could be more help!
