How much protein for small dog

Question
Kaylee Sue is a 2 1/2 year old Shorkie and weighs 9.5 pounds.  I have been feeding her Native 1 dog food.  It is lamb and rice and is 27% protein.  Is the protein percentage too high for Kaylee Sue?  thank you

Hi Dee,

I would find a food with more meat content. Foods like Innova, Solid Gold and Wellness are all nice foods.
