Pup eating cat poop

Hello, I have a 12 week old JRT pup & a cat.
The pets are getting along just fine, thank goodness, but, I caught the pup going into the cat's litter box & eating the poop. I said "NO", and grabbed it out of his mouth. But, I caught him again. I moved the litter box to higher ground for now, but, what can I do to break this bad habbit.Please let me know & thank you.

This is a very common problem in dogs.. i dotn really know why! There is a special mdeication  (moreso a vitamin) you can feed your cat that will make his poo taste REAL bad..... and thus preventing him from eatting his poo. Still to this day do my dogs eat the cats poo. Im not sure if this has to do with cleanliness, or moreso  a deficiency called 'pika' when an animal lacks in vitamins, they tend to show this defiecency in eatting in eatible objects... for the most part i think your fine... just go to you pet stroe and as the clerk for some stuff that will amek your cats poo stick.. until then,.  keepp a close eye one your dog
