Rat Terriers Algeries

We have a Rat Terrier who will be 3 years old oct.1st. I would like to know what kind of Alergies are they pron to have. She seems to get Red Bumps on her stomach and sometimes they turn into big welts. Do you know what we may need to watch for.

Interestingly, I just answered this same question with regard to a Yorkie.  The first thing that can cause this is fleas of course. As my vet says, even one flea can make some dogs miserable.

Some dogs also react very strongly to heat and get what is essentially a heat rash on their tummy and groin.

And the other thing that happens quite frequently is corn in the dog food.  Please read the ingredients of your dog food and make sure it contains no corn and ideally no by-products.
