Question
Our fox terrier which we had for 10 years died last year and we are now thinking of getting another dog. I love that breed but am concerned that if we get another one that looks like our previous dog, I will think its her and forget that its a new pet. Do you think its a bad idea to get the same breed again? I kinda like airedales, which are a bit less excitable than fox terriers, (I'm also getting older and slower) but my wife wants another fox. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Answer
Hi David
I love Airdales, they are much quieter than the Fox Terriers.
I have raised some many years ago and they were so good with the children, horses I had then and other dogs.  They laid under the shade tree alot and when I would go for a horse ride, one would come along.
They are such wonderful pets, no stink, shedding, etc.  I love their weird looks, after grooming Kink my last one, he would strut around like he was a King.
I suggest if your in fact slowing down some the Airdale you would enjoy much more than the wirey Fox Terrier than requires much more exercise than the Airdales.
Please write me back if u get one and click on my email on my site and send me a photo.
If I could breed a second breed also it would be the Airdales.

Kind Regards
Patt
