Sorry but I don't understand your response. You say that if 14-16 inches high he should weigh 15-20 lbs but then you say 13-18 lbs for the SAME height. Clarify please?-------------------------

sorry, again boys in height are 14 to 16" weight 15 lbs to 20 lbs.
Bitches:
13 to 15 " weight 13 lbs. to 18 lbs.
This is by the standard naturally some breeders oversize breeds causing health problems.  This is one more reason I took it upon my old self of over 66 years old to try and perfect the German Shepherd.  It gets such a bad rap in Temperment, disease, but every breed has problems in the genes.
Just as in the Wire Haired Terriers, they are prone to skin problems like my English Bulldog had badly, put her down Oct 13 at near 12 years, lifespan was 8 years, she has the good life.  also, wirehaireds have Post nasal drip problems, Lens Luxation, and on and on.
All Breeds have some problems, but good breeders should have their dogs tested best they can for diseases not to be passed.

I might add that I recommend and use Fresh Factors and Bug Off for Fleas.  The springtime link is on my front page, such wonderful products to make all dogs healthier, less skin problems, good bones, joints, etc.  Read up on these all natural products for all pets should have a top supplement given daily to boost their feed they eat.  I also suggest that you wet the dry kibble with hot water, stir 10 seconds to let gases excape because of Bloat.
