3 year old female Westie biting

Question
Our 3 year old Westie, Molly, does not like loud noises and hasn't since she was a puppy (plastic trash bags, vacuum, loud talking in house)  Its gotten to the point no one can have a conversation without her starting to bark loudly and then she starts getting really aggressive when you try to push her away so that you can talk.  We have found if we want to talk we put her in a "timeout" chair in the breakfast room - she doesn't know that she can jump out of chair (she's 11 lbs).  I think that she has bitten all of us at least once if not more.  HELP!!  She is so precious most of the time, but the biting has to stop!

That's definitely out of hand. You cannot let this dog run your life and that's just what she's doing !  I'm going to give you a link further down for something to read and consider using.

Here's what I would do first.  Put a harness on her and have her dragging a leash.  Set up a scenario where you know she will act badly.  Immediately upon her even starting to get riled up, pick her up by the harness if you can safely do it and unceremoniously put her in a crate (or behind a closed door). Do not say anything to her at all.  The leash is in case you can't snatch her up by the harness, you can still put her where she needs to be.

Ignore her completely for 10 minutes, and then try it again.  If you can do this on purpose periodically as well as when it naturally occurs, I suspect she will stop soon.

I also encourage you to take her through an obedience series so a trained professional can watch her behavior.  Here's the link I mentioned earlier:

Good luck and let me know how you make out.
