Why my Dog is twitching

Hi Autumn,

I have a rat terrier mix, and today he started twitching, And when we go to move when he sits on our lap or when he is by our feet he yips like we are hurting him and we haven't touched him. Why is this?

Answer
This is a very difficult question. I think I may need more info. Does he twitch like he is cold? Terriors like yours have hardly any fat, and practically no hair, so very aggresive hard trembling is not uncommon of them. But I dont understand the yipping. He may have broken a bone and is in pain. Im not sure what to say. the best thing to do is to call a vet or take him to a vet.  sorry I couldnt help much!
