red nose pit puppy training potty

Question
Please help my boyfriend brought me and the kids home this Red nose pit and just to get things going the right way I need help on potty training this 2month or 3month puppy please help Also how to talk to him should I just say NO and STOP or should I say his name and then NO or ect.

 First off get a crate that he can grow with.  Put a box in there to take up room.  Only give him room enough to stand up and turn around.  If you give him anymore he will do his business in one corner and sleep in the other.  Feed him in there and anytime you can't watch him.  Remember that dogs a den animal so a crate is their den.  Don't forget that he is a baby and to take him out after he has had a nap or about 20 min to an hour after feeding. Don't let him walk out on his own carry him out.  
 If you catch him in the act on the living room floor say NO and pick him up in the act and put him out immediately.
 Crates are like cribs to babies.  Nothing worng with them.  Don't give into any whinning.  If you do you will create a monster.  He has to go through this in order to be a good dog.
